Snowbound Announces renewal of IBM Agreement

Snowbound Announces renewal of Multi-Year Agreement with IBM for Use of Technology in Content Manager

May 4, 2010 (Boston, MA) – Snowbound Software, the leader in document viewing and conversion solutions, is pleased to announce that IBM has renewed its license for Snowbound's innovative and powerful RasterMaster Java Imaging technology. Originally embedded within the Venetica content integration middleware product, IBM acquired the product and expanded the use of Snowbound's RasterMaster to create powerful, multi-format client viewers for its entire Content Manager Product line. FileNet P8 users can view multiple document types within Content Manager via FileNet Federation Services.

Snowbound's imaging technology provides the capability to view and convert AFP, MO:DCA, and PTOCA documents as well as many other types of files including TIFF, JPEG, PNG, and ABIC.

Snowbound's unique capability to provide flexible yet robust tools and viewers available across multiple platforms including Java is important to many large institutions. They appeal to companies who have many different types of computing platforms and to developers who need to quickly add powerful imaging capabilities to the viewers and conversion products they develop.

“We are very excited about this IBM license renewal as Snowbound and IBM have worked together for many years,” explained Simon Wieczner, president, Snowbound Software. “We look forward to continued good will and shared technologies between the two companies.”
