Sales Support Engineer

Supporting our sales staff with skilled resources is a key differentiator that helps Snowbound Software excel in a competitive field. We are looking for someone who is willing to challenge and push themselves beyond the typical scope of support or sales engineering. We are looking for someone who believes in a customer first approach, who looks for the opportunity to lead and above all else, is looking to become an asset to a critical team.

This Sales Support Engineer will be responsible for supporting our pre and post sales customers as they evaluate and prepare our Snowbound products within their organizations. This person will handle all levels of support including installation assistance, custom samples, troubleshooting of issues and some custom feature development.

The person filling this position will work with both the sales team to fulfil their technical needs as well as the engineering team to provide customer feedback and engineering to develop solutions for any customer issues or feature requests.

We are looking for someone that can:

  • Create and maintain environments to support and develop Snowbound products
  • Support customer integration projects
  • Assist in providing documentation
  • Help improve existing Snowbound products
  • Write well commented code samples
  • Work with engineering to fix bugs and resolve customer issues
  • Work with System Integrators and Partners
  • Install and configure products on multiple systems including VMWare, Windows and Unix.
  • Web application deployment and debugging.
  • As part of the development life cycle; install, test and upgrade current applications as well as new releases to validate the application integrity.
  • Proactively monitor applications to be optimized for the core Snowbound products
  • Participate in the assessment of use-case and desired application adjustments
  Experience/Skills Preferred:
  • Minimum 2-year Associates Degree in CS
  • 2-4 Years of technical support experience
  • General knowledge Java, Javascript, .NET, HTML and CSS.
  • Experience with use and/or administration of one or more of the following Content Management Systems:
    • IBM Filenet
    • Alfresco
    • Documentum
  • Experience in Windows, Unix Operating Systems
  • Understand basic differences between many document formats, including PDF, DOC, DOCX, TIFF, JPEG and others.
  • Experience with industry standard web servers such as TomCat, IIS, WebSphere and WebLogic.
  • Working within a sales team or support team
