Translation solution provider Lingotek recently announced an application that could appeal to companies conducting business across multi-lingual teams, with its new Lingotek Inside for Microsoft SharePoint.
According to Lingotek, its Inside service offers companies using SharePoint a solution to expand their business to new markets. By utilizing its Collaborative Translation Platform, the application enables users to translate massive amounts of content efficiently.
Lingotek says translation within SharePoint had been difficult prior to its platform. Inside allows users to reduce the time and costs of services typically handled by translation services, the company said.
"We are excited to bring the Lingotek Inside solution to SharePoint users who can directly translate content within SharePoint and, consequently, connect with an increased number of global communities critical to the growth of their businesses," said Lingotek CEO Robert Vandenberg.
Microsoft released SharePoint 2010 in May, but the collaboration and document management platform is having trouble winning over customers, who prefer its predecessor. According to a Global 360 study, the 2007 version still accounts for 80 percent of current SharePoint deployments, Channel Insider reports.
