An enterprise content management (ECM) and software-as-a-service (SaaS) company has been named one of the top 50 companies to watch for 2009.
SpringCM, makers of on-demand document management and workflow solutions, was included in the InformationWeek Startup 50 earlier this month, an award given to up-and-coming technology companies.
The company is getting accustomed to winning awards after receiving the top honors for best content management solution in government at the AIIM International Conference and Expo in Philadelphia earlier this month.
Dan Carmel, CEO of SpringCM, says the two awards point to not only the company”s superb product, but also the increasing use of the platforms in enterprise.
"We are very pleased to be named to the InformationWeek Startup 50 list. InformationWeek is a prestigious industry publication and considering the many strong technology startups vying for marketplace attention, the competition is very tough," he said.
"It is a testament, not only to our solid content management platform, but also to the strength and market acceptance of Software as a Service," Carmel continued.
InformationWeek says that in order to be considered for the list, a company could be no more than five years old and were rated on criteria like innovation in technology or business model and enterprise readiness.
