According to the company, the latest version of its desktop software application allows users to transform scanned images into digital files with an accuracy of 99.8 percent. The updated application also preserves the document’s original layout and structure.
“The solution supports recognition for low-quality documents, screenshots and fax documents and features a built-in text editor with a spell-checker,” the company said in a press release.
The SmartOCR Pro version includes a batch conversion option, which processes documents into separate files all at once. Also, the batch conversion settings can be saved for later use.
Other uses of the SmartOCR Pro include the integration of both Microsoft Windows Explorer and Office, as well as a watched folder option, which automatically converts documents place in the folder.
SmartSoft was established in 2001 and its portfolio of products are used in 154 countries worldwide and include PDF conversion and production and Optical Character Recognition solutions.
