Global software company SAP and Open Text, a Waterloo, Ontario-based ECM solutions provider, recently announced that they have added another aspect to their reseller agreement. The companies will include employee file management capability in their agreement, which requires SAP to offer Open Text”s EFM solution.
Adding Open Text”s EFM capability to its product arsenal will help SAP expand its already massive global market share of 22.4 percent. A major initiative of most large companies has been to make all forms of file management more efficient, and the expanded relationship will help SAP customers accomplish that.
"Instead of spending the majority of their time on labor-intensive administrative tasks, HR staff is freed up to focus more of their time and effort on recruitment, skills development and serving as a more productive resource for the operational areas they support. By joining forces with Open Text, we are bringing new capabilities to our customers that can help deliver significant, sustained return on investment," Tom Roberts, global vice president of software solution partners for SAP, said.
Earlier this year, the companies reported that the strategic alliance had increased the overall satisfaction from both of their customer bases, which will likely grow as the products become more capable.
