Quest Software, a company that creates products to help users deploy SharePoint-based enterprise content management solutions, is hosting its ninth annual conference about ECM technology.
The company announced that the Experts Conference would consist of three days of intense training in SharePoint, the content development tools created by Microsoft. The event, held in Los Angeles, will feature a panel of SharePoint experts from Microsoft who will open up the floor to questions.
Event organizers boast that the broadcasting of the recent winter Olympics over the internet and the management of the Olympics website was accomplished using SharePoint.
Joel Oleson, a senior product architect for Quest Software, who event organizers call a "SharePoint rockstar," said that the event will allow attendees to get up close and personal with the leading experts in SharePoint IT.
"Not only are there three days of intense training with 400-level SharePoint content," says Oleson, "but there also will be a special track dedicated to interactive architecture, and design sessions to train SharePoint administrators and architects on SharePoint 2010 code and solutions management."
Microsoft plans to release its latest SharePoint offering on May 12. On the launch date, there will be more training, when Microsoft”s Stephen Elop hosts a live online demonstration of SharePoint 2010”s ECM capabilities.
