Open Text, SAP report customers pleased with results

by | May 19, 2010

SAP and Open Text recently reported that their partnership has pleased their customers.Open Text and global software giant SAP recently announced that their strategic alliance has been embraced by several customers who report great benefits from the applications. By implementing SAP products into Open Text solutions, customers have been able to greatly improve certain aspects of the ECM system.

Open Text customers use SAP solution extensions to archive important data and for eDiscovery purposes, which makes the ECM system more efficient. There are countless pieces of information stored in their systems, so implementing SAP data management solutions organizes them better. SAP estimates that 75 to 80 percent of all information stored on enterprise networks is unorganized – especially email and other computer-based messaging records.

"The tight integration of Open Text ECM solutions with SAP software has proven to be of significant value to customers, and as a result, we are seeing strong global customer adoption of SAP solution extensions by Open Text," Tom Roberts, global vice president of global ecosystem and partner group for SAP, said.

Open Text recently announced that its ECM solution is entirely compatible with the newly released Microsoft Office 2010. Developing ECM systems that can easily work with other programs is crucial as companies look to use their software together to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their IT operations.ADNFCR-1861-ID-19787014-ADNFCR
