Open Text, a major provider of enterprise content management software, recently announced the release of Media Management 7, an upgrade to its asset management solution with a new user inferface and tools for searching and indexing large volumes of digital media assets.
The company says its latest version of Media Management will allow quick and easy content management, while also offering expanded process automation capabilities to help businesses optimize their media operations, improve business agility and speed up workflow.
Guy Hellier, the vice president of digital media for Open Text, says the release reflects the growing effect of digital media on all aspects of enterprise activity and user response and the need to control a rapidly expanding network of content through multiple mediums, including mobile phones.
"The impact of digital media is being felt in all walks of life and business," says Hellier. "With Media Management 7 we are changing the game by delivering new levels of usability along with the ability to seamlessly integrate digital media into operations and to orchestrate how media is created, retrieved, reused and published."
The announcement comes after Open Text recently released its first mobile ECM software. Open Text Everywhere allows users to enterprises to manage their network using the BlackBerry Operating system.
