Open Text recently released the latest version of its web ECM solution, Web Site Management 10.1, which includes new social networking tools for customers to leverage the growing trend. Among the social networking tools included are integration solutions, which allow companies to easily use and archive their posts on popular social networking websites such as Facebook and Twitter.
The latest iteration of the popular open source web content management solution allows administrators and other IT experts to expedite any social networking tasks they have. However, it will also make editorial responsibilities easier by providing new methodologies such as drag-and-drop, which will allow workers to organize data as they see fit far easier than previous versions of WSM.
“At the core of an engaging web experience is vibrant, relevant content and an immersive social community integrated with internal business processes and infrastructure,” said Lubor Ptacek, vice president of product marketing at Open Text. “Website Management makes this possible with rapid implementation, a strong reputation for usability and a useful set of integrations with content sources.”
Open Text”s success in 2010 has been noted by several major occurrences. For example, Open Text provided a social networking application to the world leaders attending the G20 Summit in Toronto earlier this summer.
