Nuxeo, which provides enterprise content management solutions recently announced that the company”s market in North America has more than doubled in the past year.
With twice the revenue that it had at the beginning of 2009, the software firm has hired 12 more employees in Paris and Boston. The company has a total of 50 more employees across the world, at its other offices in Madrid, Moscow, Rome and Dubai.
Nuxeo CEO Eric Barroca says that his company”s advantage is low overall costs and flexibility to client demands.
“Our experience over the past 12 months in North America is that there is a large segment of the market that want the breadth and depth of larger content management systems from first generation ECM vendors such as EMC, IBM, Open Text and Oracle,” says Nuxeo. “Our appeal is a feature-rich ECM platform and packaged applications that address the architectural and functional needs of large enterprises, but are also easily deployable in a wide range of environments and extended and developed by customers themselves.”
Recently, another ECM provider boasted similar success. Alfresco Software says that in 2009 it grew its client base by 156 percent and now claims 550 enterprise customers worldwide.
