Document viewing is one of the aspects many SharePoint users look to enhance and now with a new add-on, they can view images and other items right out of the box.

According to Adeptol, its new AJAX Document Viewer is now equipped with a module which allows users to view a variety of file formats in Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007 and 2010 as well as a number of other SharePoint services.

Adeptol says the viewer supports more than 200 document formats and has the ability to allow unlimited users to view documents at once.

Because the system is based on Multiple Tenancy Concept, the company says it”s significantly faster than similar products on the market.

On its website, the company notes that the system is supported on Linux, Mac OS X as well as Microsoft Windows and works with "99 percent of world browsers."

At a time when many companies are looking to cut costs, Adeptol says its viewer is also a cost-effective solution.
