OfficeDrop, established in 2007, is a technology provider for small businesses and recently announced an expansion of its partnership with Nuance to further the offering of its software development kit.
The PaperPort Anywhere API SDK allows users to share both paper and digital files. According to OfficeDrop, the SDK also allows web developers, scanner, multifunction printer and independent software vendors with a free solution to integrate their software, hardware and file sharing products.
“The new SDK provides a fast and easy way for hardware, software and our enterprise customers to add scan-to-cloud and document sharing to their applications,” said Chris Strammiello, Nuance general manager for desktop, cloud and mobile solutions.
Strammiello also said the PaperPort Anywhere SDK lets users share documents through any mobile device, including to the more than 5 million PaperPort accounts established each year.
According to industry experts, SDKs allow software developers to establish document and image processing capabilities for their products and applications. The solutions also provide developers with scanning, printing, automation, conversion and automation abilities.
