Enterprise content management provider Metalogix announced a new manager designed to simplify the migration of EMC Documentum eRoom content to Microsoft SharePoint.
The new manger allows administrators to choose eRoom content at the item or group level and transfer it into Microsoft SharePoint using the same structure, or a different structure. Developers said the new solution will allow for fast and simple content migration into a common SharePoint solution for unified management, archiving and access processes.
"Many companies have decided to standardize their content management on SharePoint," said Metalogix chief executive Chris Risley. "Organizations with content in eRoom need to migrate some or all of the content to SharePoint."
According to Metalogix, the manger will help the company reach its goal to migrate more enterprise content management systems into Microsoft SharePoint 2003, 2007 or 2010 than any other vender.
Metalogix is an enterprise content management company based in Vancouver and founded in 2001. Its SharePoint Site Migration Manager software is designed to help businesses capture, archive, distribute and manage business documents used in Microsoft SharePoint.
