KnowledgeTree releases new version of enterprise content management add-in

KnowledgeTree''s Microsoft Office add-in includes new viewing and setup features.Enterprise content management provider KnowledgeTree announced the release of a new version of its Microsoft Office add-in Wednesday for its on-premise, SaaS and community open source document management solutions.

The new version of the Microsoft Office add-in includes new thumbnail and instant document preview functions, support for Microsfot IIS Web Server, installer packages for Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems, and a setup wizard for easy configuration and upgrades by both technical and non-technical users.

"We continue to enhance KnowledgeTree so that it works the way enterprises do while meeting their evolving business needs," said KnowledgeTree director of product management Evan Person.

Developers say the add-in integrates seamlessly with Office 2007, and includes a new date field, a rich content field, and the ability to select more than one property at once in its document properties feature. The entire package is available as on-premise solution or as a SaaS-based option. KnowledgeTree also offers a free open source community version of the add-in on SourceForge.

KnowledgeTree is an enterprise content management developer founded in 2008 and based in San Francisco. Its commercial open source document management software services help clients in the private, nonprofit and government sectors.
