SharePoint Solutions recently announced it will host two series of courses aimed at teaching IT professionals the basics of Microsoft's popular enterprise content management platform SharePoint 2010.
Using SharePoint Foundation 2010, the Nashville-based company will offer a pair of two-day, classroom-based courses in Nashville on January 25 and 26, and in Dallas on February 23 and 24.
According to SharePoint Solutions, the course is designed for people with no experience with the any version of SharePoint. Students will learn the basics of the content management platform, which provides businesses solutions that promote employee collaboration and streamline workflow.
"Our introductory course is perfect for anyone who uses SharePoint 2010 in his or her job," said Ricky Spears, senior instructor at SharePoint Solutions. "Whether students are new to SharePoint or are self taught and want to fill in some missing pieces, this course will help them begin getting the most out of SharePoint 2010."
A basic knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint is becoming crucial to employees as businesses rapidly adopt the platform to manage reports, email and other documents. According to a recent survey by uSamp, 34 percent of employees with SharePoint access use it at least once a day.
