IBM recently announced new software designed to help customers automate content-centric processes and manage unstructured business content.
In a response to recent enterprise data growth estimates, IBM said its Case Manager software brings new enhancements to the company’s content analytics and information lifecycle governance solutions.
“IBM Case Manager integrates content and process management with advanced analytics, business rules, collaboration and social software,” the company stated. “Business users now have the right tools to support ad hoc processes such as communications by email or paper and extract more value and critical insight from their structured and unstructured information.”
IBM claimed its software offers a more integrated way for customers increasingly complex caseloads and dwindling resources in areas such as insurance claims management, credit dispute management, fraud identification and resolution and contract execution.
Content Manager joins IBM’s expanding family of data management tools, which includes enterprise content management software, IBM FileNet Content Manager. According to an EMC-sponsored IDC survey released earlier this year, annual data growth will increase by nearly 45 times by 2020.
