The market for enterprise content management software is changing rapidly due to new real-time, data-level integrations and intelligent capture and mobile solutions, according to ECM provider Hyland Software.
The company recently spoke to approximately 1,500 customers and partners at the U.S. OnBase Training & Technology Conference, held in Las Vegas, regarding the state of ECM.
“Hot topics at the show included mobile-enabled ECM, new capture and indexing options and tighter line-of-business systems integrations,” said Hyland Software. “Another much discussed theme was how ECM can address specific business problems in industries like commercial, healthcare, higher education, government, insurance and financial services.”
Hyland Software chief operating officer Bill Priemer added that the company’s customers are most successful when they have a better understanding and take ownership of their OnBase solution.
The global ECM market continues to grow. In 2009, revenue for the industry reached $795 million and, by 2016, revenue is projected to surpass $1.7 billion, according to a study released by Frost & Sullivan earlier this year.
