Hyland Software is aiming to improve its case management services with the most recent update of its OnBase enterprise content management product.
Case-based processes, such as patient record management or the handling of insurance claims, often involve several people, types of content and can be very long and complex. This, Hyland points out, can cause inefficiencies around the workplace.
Through OnBase version 10.0, Hyland looks to remedy this by incorporating nuanced capabilities for specific industry processes. According to Hyland, the new version features an easy-to-use interface, more flexible system administration and is compatible with several types of IT environments.
"Our customers have known that it's not only about the content. It's about the context in which the content is used," said Hyland vice president of development Bill Filion.
Hyland Software has existed for more than 20 years and its one of the largest independent ECM software vendors in the world. For the first time, Gartner recently placed the company in the "leaders" quadrant of it Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Content Management report 2010.
