HP, Delaware healthcare organization agree to continue partnership

by | Jul 9, 2012

HP has continued to develop enterprise content management solutions to help the healthcare industry in more ways than one. The company recently announced that the Delaware Division of Medicaid & Medical Assistance (DMMA) has reached a $50 million agreement to have HP continue offering Medicaid fiscal-agent services for three years.

The vendor noted that the agreement took effect July 1 and includes two options. HP and the DMMA have been working together since 1989. In addition to supporting the DMMA, HP also processes more than 17 million claims for nearly 9,000 healthcare providers in Delaware.

“Faced with rapidly changing federal healthcare mandates, as well as growing Medicaid populations, states need modern, flexible technology to continue providing quality healthcare services for its most vulnerable citizens,” noted HP vice president Susan Arthur.

Healthcare publisher Lifescript is also leveraging HP solutions to improve its operational efficiency. HP recently announced that Lifescript adopted its HP 3PAR Storage platform to meet growing storage and data analytics needs to make improved decisions, especially for online and electronic newsletters, which reach more than 10 million people each month.
