To help medical professionals and organizations ensure they are using technology more effectively, HP recently said it will be the preferred provider for physicians affiliated with the American Medical Association.
According to the company, it will provide IT solutions, such as its high-quality displays and HP Workstations, through the AMA’s Member Value Program. HP will also offer a dedicated team of experts to answer any discount options or inquiries regarding its IT equipment, including its mobile and remote patient care options.
“This relationship allows us to work closely with [the] AMA to help physician practices increase efficiency and reduce costs so they can remain effective in today’s constantly changing healthcare environment,” said HP SMB vice president and general manager John Hood.
HP has made a concerted effort to offer healthcare providers with the latest technology solutions. In February, the company announced a partnership with software vendor Central Logic to help hospitals reduce their operating costs, boost efficiency and improve overall patient care. Some of the options available through the collaboration include the mobile HP Slate 2, the TouchSmart 9300 and 47-inch signage screens.
