EMC recently announced a competition to help drive development of its Documentum xCP platform by having users create xCelerators – business applications, business process templates, code and documentation – for the software.
“xCelerators are key assets that increase the speed of development on Documentum xCP and enhance end-to-end agility,” said Neville Letzerich, vice president and general manager for Documentum xCP, a division for EMC. “This contest is a great way for customers, partners and employees to showcase the impressive work they’ve produced on Documentum xCP and to contribute valuable additions to the platform that will benefit the entire Documentum xCP community.”
EMC said its Documentum xCP unites business process management, enterprise content management, document and data capture, customer communications and records management onto one platform.
The company will select winners from three categories: Best Sample Application, Best xCelerator Asset and Best Employee Entry. Each winner will receive cash prizes as well as a free conference pass to attend Momentum at EMC World 2011, where they will present their submissions.
EMC executives recently highlighted the benefits of Documentum xCP at Momentum Europe 2010 in Lisbon, Portugal. EMC cited a number of customer case studies in which organizations used Documentum xCP to reduce cycle time, improve compliance and promote business agility.
