SpringCM recently announced the latest release of its cloud enterprise content management platform, designed to simplify the handling and sharing of documents stored in the cloud.
The company claims it has seen customer use of its SpringCM Cloud ECM solutions grow six times in the last 12 months. As more organizations are deploying a wider range of cloud content applications, the company said its SpringCM 2010 is designed to make it easier for customers to perform broader and multiple application deployments, such as case management, contract management, resume management and invoice automation.
SpringCM said it based its updates on feedback from customers. New features include a new user interface and new identity management capabilities, which use Lightweight Directory Access Protocol so businesses can leverage their existing infrastructures to automatically add and delete users.
“We took advantage of that real-time feedback to deliver a new user interface that makes it even simpler to quickly configure, roll-out and use SpringCM, whether it’s to 10 users, or 10,000 users,” said SpringCM Vice President of Marketing Roger Bottum.
ECM solutions are expected to become increasingly dependent on the cloud. With this in mind, ECM vendors Nuxeo, Alfresco and Documentum maker EMC have all deployed cloud editions of their products.
