Enterprise content management services provider Vertonghen Research recently announced it has acquired global document capture and management solutions provider PearlDoc.
According to Vertonghen, PearlDoc will become the core component of its enterprise document management solutions, which allow users more comprehensive capabilities when managing transactional, dynamic and historical content.
The Brussels-based PearlDoc provides document and records management to businesses across a variety of industries, with a focus on financial, human resources, insurance and legal organizations. Its services, which include business process analysis and enterprise application integration, help companies reduce their facility costs and boost end-user productivity, it claims.
Vertonghen also focuses on financial, insurance and legal organizations, as well as copyright and other high-volume administration companies. It provides services that allow businesses to improve the efficiency of processing mission-critical content.
As businesses rely more the digitization of their documents, content management solutions are becoming more prevalent across enterprises. According to a recent Frost & Sullivan report, ECM solutions market revenue is expected to hit $1.7 billion by 2016, up from $795 million in 2009.
