Joining the increasingly popular Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) movement is Treeno Software, an enterprise content management (ECM) provider.
Treeno Software recently announced the release of its Salesforce.com integration module, the Treeno Salesforce Connector, which will bring ECM capabilities to Salesforce.com”s SaaS-based customer relationship management (CRM) software.
The module will enable users to drag and drop emails and other documents from the desktop into their Salesforce.com account, and will allow users to search for projects and accounts managed by Salesforce.com through the Treeno module itself.
"Salesforce.com has become one of the most popular CRM tools in the world, and obviously brings a slew of features and accessibility to the table," said Will Thibodeau, founder and co-CEO of Treeno Software. "It was only natural for us to integrate our SaaS-based ECM solution, making the management of sales and related documents even easier."
The Treeno Salesforce Connector, which was developed using the Salesforce.com Web Services API, allows for both out-of-the-box integration and more complex deployment.
The standard Treeno ECM software provides document management, document imaging, email management, business process management and mailroom scanning.
ECM solutions have been shown to increase business efficiency and reduce operating costs, as they streamline and speed up document processing, experts say.
