by | Feb 27, 2009

A Dutch lawfirm will be the first to use a new solution from Open TextEnterprise content management (ECM) company Open Text announced this week that the Dutch law firm Dirkzwager would be using the company”s product for its content management needs.

The Open Text Legal Information Management for Microsoft SharePoint is part of the company”s strategy build applications that can run natively on SharePoint while using the deeper management capabilities of the Open Text ECM Suite.

Jaroen Zweers, manager of ICT and ID at Dirkzwager, said the Open Text integration fit into the needs of the law firm perfectly.

"The choice for the document management solution from Open Text fits entirely within our strategic vision towards SharePoint, as the solution connects seamlessly with the Microsoft Office SharePoint platform," he said. "Open Text is also one of the first to offer this. Other factors that have been decisive for Dirkzwager are the LIM functionality and the dedication from Open Text and Timesoft for this solution."

Ingrid Bosman of Open Text said Dirkzwager is the first firm to use the Open Text and SharePoint solution, but says companies in the legal sector in the UK and U.S. have signed up to use the product.ADNFCR-1861-ID-19048563-ADNFCR
