A business and computer training company has announced that it will begin offering an online tutorial for SharePoint 2007 along with Print-On-Demand Courseware.
CustomGuide, a Minneapolis-based online training company, says the need to offer these training tools is growing as SharePoint becomes more popular in business.
"SharePoint has become a critical collaboration tool in today”s workplace," said Jon High, president of CustomGuide. "CustomGuide”s SharePoint training improves user knowledge, productivity, and proficiency with this popular application."
In addition to giving users an overview of SharePoint 2007, the tools will also teach students how to work with libraries, blogs and wikis and how to use SharePoint with Microsoft Office.
The company says the online training tool is fully interactive and teaches students by simulating an actual SharePoint experience. The Print-On-Demand Courseware should also be beneficial to instructors by giving them a training guide rather than forcing them to create one themselves.
Last month, David Scult, a general manager in Microsoft”s Information Worker Division said 10 million users had switched from Domino and Lotus Notes to SharePoint and Exchange, including major companies like Blockbuster and Proctor & Gamble.
