by | May 29, 2009

SharePoint and Salesforce.com are combines in the new programMany companies are moving to using more enterprise content management and other Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions but now one company is taking steps to help combine the two.

SharePoint Solutions announced earlier this week that it has created a product that will integrate Microsoft SharePoint and Salesforce.com in a move that the company says will combine two of the most successful businesses software solutions in the last five years.

"Both have grown to be billion-dollar businesses, and we think there are many, many enterprises in the world that use both because each is best-of-breed in its respective application," said Jeff Cate, president of SharePoint Solutions.

Cate went on to say that for customers who use the new product will see the best team collaboration software in SharePoint along with the best customer relation management (CRM) and sales force automation system in Salesforce.com, together in one service.

With this integration, users will now be able to incorporate leads, contacts, accounts and other information from Salesforce.com and place it directly into SharePoint.ADNFCR-1861-ID-19194513-ADNFCR
