Enterprise computing solutions provider Arrow ECS recently announced it has incorporated hosted enterprise content management to its cloud-based Fusion professional services offering.
The ECM solution is designed to help companies manage their workflow and business processes better both internally and externally, Arrow ECS claims.
According to Arrow ECS, its service allows businesses to streamline such tasks as new-hire onboarding, change-request management, purchase-requisition approval and contacts management efficiently and with minimal investment.
"The Arrow ECS enterprise content management solution is different from others on the market because it’s 100 percent web-based and offers rapid business process automation capabilities, distributed administration, and a proven security model designed for business-to-business collaboration," said Lee Fawcett, vice president of the Arrow Fusion group at Arrow ECS.
With the massive amount of content enterprises are currently generating, discussions about sending ECM solutions to the cloud are occuring more frequently. In a recent Fierce Content Management report, Open Text chief strategy office Tom Jenkins asserted that cloud-based ECM would provide businesses with greater collaboration and access to information.
