VirtualViewer® — Java Applet to View Images and Documents
VirtualViewer’s Java applet is a truly flexible 100% Java document and image viewer that operates seamlessly on any Java platform. Our applet satisfies requirements for both developers and non-developers alike.
It can be used to access documents and images from a basic file structure such as your desktop, server, or URL; or you can combine it with our powerful Java server component to further enhance your viewing speed and processing capabilities. You can also use our award-winning imaging and conversion SDK to create your own customized server component to communicate with VirtualViewer’s applet.
Our Java applet delivers numerous features and benefits including:
- Configure the User Interface to meet your needs – Configurable toolbars and menus, keyboard shortcuts, and international language support enables you to modify the appearance and functionality of the applet.
- Deliver exceptional performance on any Java platform – Three times faster than any other Java applet.
- Maintain a small footprint – The Java applet offers more functionality in a smaller size than any other applet. Its size ranges between only 700KB and 1800KB depending on the functionality and formats required.
- Eliminate the need for client installation and maintenance – The applet is maintained and updated with new features and functionality by the administrator at the server level rather than having to do the updates per client. All new capabilities are automatically available to the user when they access the applet on subsequent use after the update has been made.
- Backed by expert responsive support – Our Java applet viewer is supported by an experienced team that is available to answer your questions and help you install the applet quickly.
- Secure Java applet – The applet is signed, therefore permitting local files to be accessed, viewed by the applet, and printed to a local printer.
- Appear floating or embedded to seamlessly integrate into your application – Easily configure the applet to be a floating Java applet or a fixed applet embedded within an HTML page. Extensive JavaScript APIs allow manipulation of the applet without user intervention for a more seamless integration into other applications.
