Support for AccuSoft Image Format Library 

Newton, MA (October 22, 1996) –   Snowbound Software, developer of high performance imaging software, offering raster imaging toolkits, technology and applications announced the following:

1. As per an Agreement between Snowbound Software and AccuSoft, AccuSoft will no longer distribute the Image Format Library after August 31, 1996.
2. Snowbound Software will support all versions of the AccuSoft Image Format Library.
3. Snowbound Software now offers Version 6.0 of its RasterMaster Library, with a familiar API and code base, as the support and upgrade path for Image Format Library users.
4. As of September 1, 1996 - ONLY Snowbound Software fully supports AccuSoft Image Format Library 5.0 and RasterMaster 6.0 - contact Snowbound for toolkits, licenses, upgrades and maintenance.
   

RasterMaster version 6.0 is available for OS/2 and Mac/PowerMac, as well as for Windows, Windows 95, and NT. The product is available as DLL's, VBX's or OCX's. It supports over 50 raster formats covering all popular ones including TIFF (G4, G3, Huffman, JPEG, LZW,...), JPEG, PCX, BMP, GIF, PNG*, MO:DCA IOCA, CALS, PhotoCD, ABIC(optional) and many more. Version 6.0 features include auto deskewing, despeckling, automatic aspect ratio correction, PNG reading, Internet ready transparent color, interlaced GIF support, support for 386SX and 486SX systems, and much more.
