What Is RTF?
The Rich Text Format (often abbreviated RTF) was developed by Microsoft in 1987 for cross-platform document exchange. RTF enables users to exchange text and graphics files easily, regardless of the type of back-end applications used. Most word processors are able to read and write RTF documents. For example, you can create a file using Microsoft Word in Windows 98, save it as an RTF file and send it to someone who uses WordPerfect 6.0 on Windows 3.1 and they will be able to open the file and read it.
Important: As we all know document and image specifications are intentionally loosely written and rarely updated. As a result many applications create documents “incorrectly” and they do not adhere to the latest specifications.

Snowbound, unlike most competitors, develops its own technology. If in the rare case you come across a problem or non-conforming document or image, we can often fix it.
